SportsBank NCAA Mens BB Top Ten - December 17th

Here's our new weekly College hoops Top 10:

  1. Duke - Probably the most talented and well-coached team in the country.  What remains to be seen is how much the loss of Kyrie Irving hurts them
  2. Ohio St. - The best of the Big 10, led by Jared Sullinger, have a chance to turn this into a season to remember in Columbus
  3. Kansas - The Jayhawks have the largest margin of victory in the nation, 27.4 PPG, a statistic they've led the country in for the past two seasons.
  4. Syracuse - The Orange are playing some serious defense, and have the sixth best field goal percentage defense in the country.
  5. UConn - The emergence of Kemba Walker makes the Huskies a force to be reckoned with in the Big East
  6. Kansas State - The Jayhawks aren't the only team in Kansas this year.  Big wins over Gonzaga and Virginia Tech prove they are a legit contender.
  7. Tennessee - It's yet to be seen how much the temporary loss of Bruce Pearl will hurt the Volunteers this year, but so far they are one of only seven teams to beat two ranked opponents this year: Villanova and Pitt.
  8. Pittsburgh - The Panthers are rebounding an astounding 47.9% of their missed shots, best in the nation.
  9. Illinois - The nation's
  10. Michigan State - Losses to Duke, UConn and Syracuse put them at just 7-3 on the year, but that tough schedule should pay off come tournament time
